My heart was changed the moment I saw the children
On a 2015 trip to Ethiopia, my husband and I visited an orphanage. After returning to our current home in the U.S., I could not forget the faces of the children. By 2017, we had adopted twin sons from an orphanage in Addis Ababa and brought them to our home in Washington DC. Even after such personal action, I could not stop thinking about the millions of remaining orphans who could be helped through the blessing of family.
Then, I had a vision for OCE: a sustainable model that is now rescuing orphans through volunteers in Ethiopia. OCE works with local communities, other nonprofits, and Ethiopian local and national governments to address the orphan challenge in Ethiopia through domestic adoption, advocacy, and education.
Now the OCE vision has become the OCE movement. Join us!
